The JHR Material Test Reactor will be able to simultaneously perform around twenty experiments to meet the needs of different reactor technologies and sectors in France, Europe and around the world. It will also be used for the production of radioelements for medicine.

Production or artificial radioelements

The JHR  Material Test Reactor will be able to ensure a reliable supply of radioelements, providing 25% of the European production and up to 50% if necessary, representing between 2 to 4 million scintigraphy imaging scans per year in Europe using 99Tc.
