THE REACTOR AND ITS SPECIFICITIES

This view shows the two main nuclear buildings
comprising the JHR material test reactor
in which the following activities take place:
irradiation experiments,
radioisotope production (inside the reactor),
preparation of operations (hot cells, pools),
and transfers inside the facility (pools and channels).

The safety of this facility is ensured
by a foundation raft placed on the
seismic supports and by its cooling system.
