In July, the Nuclear Policy Council has also announced the continuation of investments of the State and the sector to finalize the construction of the research reactor Jules Horowitz, so that France has this new operational facility by 2032-2034. This reactor will both support research on extending the life of the existing fleet, on EPR2, but also for small modular reactors (SMRs).
